March is Reading Month

Happy Reading Month!  St. Paul School is beginning a fun month focused on literacy with a school-wide reading contest, fun classroom activities, and Drop Everything and Read opportunities.  Here are two links from ReadWriteThink, a site from the International Reading Association, to help you get started on choosing the right books for your ability and age.  They are podcasts through iTunes targeted at the middle school and young readers.  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Theodore Seuss Geisel, better know to us as Dr. Seuss, was born on March 2, 1904. Can you figure out how old he would be today if he were still alive?

Dr. Seuss' birthday kicks off our month-long celebration of Reading Month in March. Dr. Seuss helped make reading fun (and funny!) for many generations of children.  What is your favorite Dr. Seuss book?
